This one hour video discusses disparities that exist in the rural, urban and suburban settings in access to breast cancer screening along racial, socioeconomic, rural and cultural divides, how this impacts women and communities, particularly African-American women and women of color, and what participants can do to address these issue and implement changes that increase access and utilization. We will talk about how to address the varying and therefore confusing screening recommendations, specifically the USPTF/ACR/ACS guidelines, with our patients so participants can help their patients make confident, informed decisions prioritizing their breast health and well-being. DBT as the most efficacious screening test for breast cancer, based on the literature, and how participants may implement this technology in their practices is also covered.
