Vijay G. Paryani, MD is a breast medical oncologist at the Duke Cancer Institute. His primary practice is at the Women’s Cancer Center in Raleigh, NC. He has dedicated himself to a career in the treatment of breast cancer because he has witnessed firsthand the devastating effect this disease has on patients and their families. Dr. Paryani actively engages in teaching Duke fellows and has served as Principal Investigator on clinical trials.
Dr. Paryani received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky, where he was Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in hematology-oncology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow.
