Speaker Biography

Tonya Chaffee, MD, MPH, is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California–San Francisco at Zuckerberg San Francisco General. She is also the hospital’s Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Support Advocacy and Resource Center and Director of the Teen and Young Adult Health Center.

Dr. Chaffee completed her pediatric residency, chief residency, and subspecialty fellowship training for adolescent medicine at the University of California–San Francisco. She then completed an academic fellowship in violence prevention through the California Wellness Foundation at San Francisco General Hospital. During this fellowship, she earned her master’s in public health at UC–Berkeley while conducting research and policy work in violence prevention.

Dr. Chaffee is passionate about advancing the education of providers in caring for adolescents and young adults.
