Webinar: Preterm Labor Management & STI Screening During the COVID-19 Pandemic

During this program, Dr. Michael Ruma will cover the management of pregnant patients with symptoms of preterm labor during the COVID-19 pandemic. He will highlight the tools available and how physicians can effectively use them to assess a patient’s risk of delivering preterm. This program will also cover the importance of screening for STI’s during pregnancy which are associated with an increased risk of preterm birth.

 

Dr. Ruma is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, he received his MD from Creighton University School of Medicine and stayed at Creighton to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ruma joined Perinatal Associates of New Mexico in 2008 after completing his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of North Carolina. He also received a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Administration from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina.

 

This webinar will be presented in lecture format, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. Attendees will have the option to submit questions ahead of time via the registration site, or ask live during the program. The webinar will last approximately 75-90 minutes.
