Dr. Gabrielle Cassir, MD, is a native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She completed medical school and residency at the Universite de Montreal and achieved her fellowship in maternal fetal medicine with the University of Toronto at Mount Sinai Hospital. During her studies, she was able to experience the American healthcare system, spending some time at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. Cassir currently practices as a staff physician at St Mary’s Hospital and is also an assistant professor at McGill University in Montreal. She is a co-author of the national SOGC clinical practice guideline on pregnancy and maternal obesity. Dr. Cassir’s areas of interest include high risk pregnancies, more specifically: pregnancy and maternal obesity, endocrine disorders (ex: diabetes) in pregnancy, preterm labor / preterm rupture of membranes.
