SUMMARY:MTMI Breast Ultrasound Course
DESCRIPTION:New for 2023\, More Scanning Time and enhanced 3-day schedule. This course will provide increased knowledge of the technical and clinical aspects of breast ultrasound as well as practical hands-on training in ultrasound imaging of the breast. An overview of the basic principles and techniques utilized in breast ultrasound will be presented. This course will be helpful for mammographers and sonographers who are directly involved in breast sonography and imaging and physicians whose practice includes women’s health.  \nOur in-person and online ultrasound courses utilize a combination of lecture sessions and positioning workshops taught by an experienced sonographer and technologist. Instruction in patient scanning is stressed with hands-on demonstrations using clinical ultrasound scanners\, tissue equivalent breast phantoms and live models. (Hands-on sessions are for attendees of in-person ultrasound courses only) \nThis activity provides the 16.5 hours of structured education related to the content specifications outlined by the ARRT\, required for certification and registration.
